UNCONVENTIONAL WARFARE

S.E.E.D. For Today____War

Scripture "We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do." 2 Corinthians 10:3 NLT

The more diligent we become in serving and approving ourselves to God, the more we must expect to suffer from misrepresentation and slander. As hard as it is for us many times to disengage ourselves from reacting to the flesh we must employ the unconventional warfare of the believer. Eugene Peterson translates Paul's message like this; "The world is unprincipled. It's a dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way, the tools of our trade are not for marketing and manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture." There was disobedience in Corinth because Christians were believing lies instead of the truth of God's word, and they were warned to tear down every argument and reason so that their hearts and minds would return to the place of obedience. The issues in the church and in our lives will not be solved by trying to revise what we do but by confronting the problems with the Word of God.

Example War--Usually open and hostile conflict between something or someone, state or nation. Struggle, Combat, Fighting.

Exercise Read 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 Journal and talk to God ask yourself this question in your quiet time with Him. "As a representative of the Christian Community what dominates my flesh? Do we take the low road when necessary? Are we mean spirited? What is your course of defense?

Devotion Lord I pray for obedience to Your Word today. I pray for the understanding I lack in applying the unconventional strategies of warfare. I pray against every thought bringing it into captivity and teach my thoughts, my imagination, to obey Christ. I pray that today I abandon the instruction of my flesh. I pray to use the tools given me, the Word of God and prayer that I will have divine power to destroy every obstacle in my life in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
