WHAT'S IN YOUR WALLET?

S.E.E.D. For Today_Loyalty

Scripture "Love the Lord, all you godly ones! For the Lord protects those who are loyal to Him," Psalms 31:23

In this Psalm David describes the Lord as a fortress into which he has entered in trust, prayer and committed loyalty. The fortress is a secure place to enter, so the prayer rest on all the Lord has revealed about Himself, that He is able to provide whatever one's rescue requires. True trust and sole-loyalty to the Lord are inseparable and from that springs confidence and assurance for the future. David's crisis has drained him, despised by his enemies and deserted by his friends, he cries out to God and God hear's his cry for help. He responds to those who call and available to all His beloved who love Him back.

Example Your allegiance to someone or something. Your faithfulness to, obedience to, your devotion and commitment to. Whom you give homage and honor. For believers all of this relates to God. Who are you loyal to. Your loyalty cannot be divided (God or Mammon) understand this "We are still alive because the Lord's faithful love never ends." Lam.3:22-24  Every morning He shows His loyalty through new mercies.

Exercise Read Psalms 31:1-24; Capital One Bank Credit Card has a theme of redeeming your rewards with no hassle. David ask God in verse 5 to redeem him, "provide me with whatever I need to rescue me for I know you are a faithful God" (loyal). v22 "In panic I cried out, but you heard me and answered."

Devotion Lord I pray today that my loyalty for you never changes. I pray and understand that faithfulness earns your trust, loyalty and commitment. I pray to remain honest and faithful to your will. I believe that my redeemer lives and that He will protect those who are loyal to Him. All the stress, the frustration, the anxiety, the battles it is well, I know what I carry, for I know you are with me. No Hassle God has you. What are you carrying with you?

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

What to Wear, What Not to Wear!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:2,5-8,13 TLC has a show entitled What Not to Wear. In this reality tv series family and friends recommend people for total transformation. The concept of the program is to take an individual who has not been able to give up garments that are old and out dated, clothing that leaves them lookin...
