Time Travelers

S.E.E.D. For Today_Forward

Scripture "I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead." Philippians 3:13 NLT

The Apostle Paul lets us know that he will not contend with the past or present measures of grace, but he is contending to stretch himself to go forward. He realized that he had not mastered many areas of perfection in his life after his conversion. He did not rest on the power and prestige he had in his former life. He did not linger on the fact that he gave orders for many to be executed and imprisoned but now he himself was a prisoner of which he boldly denounced. Paul thinks forward, he forgets about his Jewish privileges and presses on the great race in which his goal is to win. We are time travelers that are moving forward. Paul says we press toward.

Example In the direction that one is facing or traveling. Onward, being progressive, future.

Exercise Read Philippians 3:12-14 Evaluate yourself from the scripture. In what direction are you traveling? What year are you trying to re-live? Republicans long to have the old America, but without God America will be a wasteland full of lawlessness and rebellion. The children of Israel died in the wilderness having a heart to travel back to Egypt. Forget the Past and move Forward!

Devotion Lord I pray today for understanding. I pray for spiritual maturity that I come in agreement of your word. I pray for strength to move forward, forgetting the past, I let go and Let God. Strengthen my mind that I don't take frequent trips to my past, but by faith press toward the future. In Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God
