LEAP OF FAITH

S.E.E.D. For Today_ Leap Scripture " With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them walking and leaping and praising God." Acts 3:8 NASB Peter and John are on their way into the temple for the 3:00 prayer service, as they approach the Temple a man who had been lame since birth was being carried in. Everyday he sat by the gate of the Temple which was called the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg as the people entered the Temple. When he sees the Apostles about to enter the Temple he asked them for money. Peter looks upon the man and let's him know, I don't have money if that is what your expecting, silver and gold I have none, but I'll give you what I have. In the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene get up and walk. The man leaped and stood up, he did not go straight home but he went into the Temple still leaping and praising God. Example To jump or spring into action, to rise, come up, taking leaps and bounds, propel

GARBAGE DAY

S.E.E.D. For Today_ Garbage S-cripture "For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him. Using the language of gains and loss, value and worthless, Paul is letting us know that his decision was not an impulsive act of breaking with the past. Paul considers anything he may be tempted to put his trust in as garbage, so he discards his former advantages and achievement's that he may become one with Christ. For him his personal relationship with God is of paramount importance, nothing is more valuable. Example Getting rid of, confiscating, renounce, let go, counted as nothing, trash, rubbish, weight. Exercise There are areas in our lives that we need to shift. There are things that we need to discard in regards to a greater relationship with Christ. Today is garbage day time to get rid of everything that is meaningless, useless and offensive. The smell of garbage can be pretty offensive. What

DON'T CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM

S.E.E.D . For Today_Enthusiasm S-cripture "Be diligent and do not be lazy, be enthusiastic in spirit; be working for your Lord." Romans 12:11 ABPE Christian diligence is diminishing throughout the body of Christ. No man will work long at a task that his heart is not in, and if so it could be out of obligation to ones faith or vocation. Paul's desire is for all Christians to have fervent diligence and enthusiasm in spirit for the work of the Lord. Paul admonishes Christians not to be idle but to occupy themselves with the business of God's Kingdom. Example Have passion, zeal, with eagerness, excitement and enjoyment, with intensity and interest. Exercise It's very easy to get idle for the industrious things of the Kingdom of God. We have been called to serve and advance the Will of the Lord. Circumstances can rob us of our passion, eagerness and enjoyment of serving Christ. Many have curbed their enthusiasm. Challenge yourself today to exa

MOTIVATE

S.E.E.D. For Today_ Motivate S-cripture Hebrews 10:24 "Let Us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works" NLT The author's exhortation of faith, hope and love elaborates on the greatest of this triad which is love. Love is the greatest way to motivate because it is communal that it reaches out to others. The writer incites the believer that with great enthusiasm we motivate one another to love and to do good works. Example Provoke, encourage, stimulate, push, sharpen, provide the stimulus needed to go forth or not give up. Exercise Today challenge yourself to think of ways to motivate one another, pick up the phone call someone and motivate them to continue in the Lord, motivate someone to forgive and move forward, love and not hate, to be confident in God's Word for their lives. Motivate one another not to let sin deceive them, think of ways to provide the stimulus needed for the individuals you consider to reach. Devotion Lord

FIRST THINGS FIRST

S.E.E.D. For Today_ Prioritize S-cripture Matthew 6:33 "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need." NLT Scripture stresses that God must be allowed to rule at the heart of a person's life. Jesus says in His Sermon on the Mount that we are to seek the Kingdom of God first. We are to seek the things of God as a priority over the things of the world. Seeking His salvation and living in obedience to Him should be the priority of every believer. Primarily what are our priorities? Do we seek God's rule over our lives, are we in pursuit of making ourselves available in representing God on the earth and to walk as He desires? God's commitment and faithfulness towards us never fails we are His top priority. All that He has given was for us, He put us first, He loved us first, sending us His Son and His Kingdom. E-xample To seek His Kingdom is to seek to live in a way that honors God'
