The Royals

S.E.E.D For Today Scripture: "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people who belong to God, chosen to declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." I Peter 2:9 Explanation: In this verse Peter gives a clear contrast of the destiny and privilege of believers. As a believer we are a distinct group from the rest of the world, unified by the Holy Spirit. Not by a physical birth but by spiritual rebirth into the royal family through Jesus Christ. In light of that you must live according to this principle of no longer living a commoner's life. Walk in retrospect of the Kingdom of which you represent, unique and holy. Remember to hold fast to what you have for the Lord is coming soon, see to it that no one takes your crown. ( ref. verse Rev. 3:11 ) Example: Royal is either belonging to a King (Kingdom) or having kingly power, dignity,  or authority. We as believers belong to a Kingdom whom citizens are prie

CASH OUT

S.E.E.D For Today Scripture: " And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!” James 3:10  Explanation :  James observed this contradiction in his church. Jewish Christians were perpetuating this custom, “Blessed be he” after each utterance of God’s name, so that their worship times were continually punctuated by choruses of praise. Yet these same people, with the blessings still on their lips, would sometimes, after leaving worship, actually curse someone who had angered them! This was a shameful sin, and James would not tolerate it! James knew from the teaching of Jesus that the will of God is fulfilled by loving one another as you love yourself. To confess your love for God and then despise your sister or brother in words is not loving God, in fact it scandalizes your profession of being a Christian. Example:  Today the church is plagued with this type of behavior, the same people who greet you with a

The Words of My Mouth and The Concentration of My Heart

S.E.E.D. For Today Scripture:   " May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my  heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalms 19:14 Explanation:   The psalmist has declared that only the word of God is the perfect foundation for any human to build. He prays to God to free him of guilt and offense lurking in his heart and closes the Psalm in the 14th verse with these words humbly submitting his mouth and his heart to God. This was his plea for true change. Example:   Think about the things that lurk in our hearts and thoughts that are never said, the things hidden from people and not God that blemish us and leave us  unacceptable in His presence. We must gain an understanding that real godliness is not only a matter of what we do but of what we say and think in our heart. Ask yourself what does my heart truly concentrate on daily?  Hosea 14:12 says;  as the people return to God, "Take words with you and return to the Lord." S

Secret Insanity

S.E.E.D. For Today Scripture: "How Can I Know All The Sins Lurking In My Heart? Cleanse Me From These Hidden Faults ( this secret insanity )."  Psalms 19:12 Explanation: How can a person discern what's really in them? For the most part we don't. Jeremiah 17:9 explains it like this; "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and it is desperately wicked. who really knows how bad it is?" In our heart lurks this secret insanity, like extreme foolishness, irrationality, stupidity, silliness, and craziness. David understood this very well, he asked God to create in him a clean heart, he understood that it would take the creative power of God to renew his heart and everything that was lurking within it. Cleanse the cancer (sin) that lie secretly in our hearts. Job said in chapter 34:32 "Teach me what I cannot see, if I have done wrong, so that I won't do it again." Example: We are all subject to deviate from the disciplines of our

PROCLAMATION

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Freedom Scripture "God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life." John 3:16 NCV Today in America is Independence Day. In 1776 the signing of the declaration of independence was signed by the Continental Congress on July 4th in our wonderful city Philadelphia. At the time of the signing  there were only 13 colonies under the rule of England's King George III. It has not really given everyone equal freedom but, over two thousand years ago God sent His beloved and only Son to Calvary to purchase our freedom over sin. The proclamation pardoned us from the penalty of sin and death. It doesn't matter black, white, whatever your ethnicity may be He signed with His own blood and purchased your freedom. He is the King of Kings and the church is the colony of His Kingdom, and we thank Him for giving us this independence of being under the rule of the god of th
