Don't Miss Your Moment!

Scripture "But as He came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, He began to weep. "How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace."

God honors His prophetic word. In Zechariah 9:9 the prophet tells Israel of the King coming to them with righteousness and salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey. Psalm Sunday was God's idea that is why it was told in advance in the Old Testament. Normally a king would ride on a horse, but the blessing comes riding in on a beast of burden. The people were exited of His entry, they thought Jesus would unveil His Messiahship and overthrow Rome. They praised Him' with anticipation "Hosanna!" But as Jesus gets closer to Jerusalem and see's the city He begins to weep. While other's are shouting Jesus is weeping. Jesus wept because what was rightfully theirs was being forfeited because they would miss their moment. They would miss the time of God's coming to them. Their opportunity for salvation.

Example Moment; an exact point and time. The appropriate time for doing something; an opportunity. There is a beginning, a continuation, an ending. When it is over, it is over. Don't miss your moment.

Exercise Many times we fail to capture the significance of a moment God is in, only to realize later how valuable it was. In Genesis 28:16 it is written "when Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it." The disciples did not understand all this and the people missed their time of visitation. Read Luke 19 in its entirety. Jesus weeps because the people cry for God to come and when He arrives they do not realize it. How many times have we missed Him. When Christ shows up in your situation it may not fit the pattern that you are comfortable with, but ask God for advance discernment and understanding that you do not miss your moment.

Devotion Lord my prayer for today is that I gain more understanding of you and your purpose. I pray that I do not miss my time of visitation. I prepare my heart and my mind for your arrival. In Jesus Name Amen

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God
