RESTORE

S.E.E.D. For Today___Restore

Scripture "Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me." Psalms 51:12 NIV

David was a man who definitely journaled and talked to God this is why we have the psalms today. In his brokenness of admitting his sin he pens these words unto to the Lord. He starts out by crying out to God to have mercy upon, according to His unfailing love and great compassion, with that to please blot out his transgressions to wash away all of his iniquity and cleanse him from his sin. Sin leaves us ripped and broken. Ripped and torn in our wants, pleasure vs. God's will. Broken when we fail to choose the latter and needing His grace to bring us back into the previous state we were in our hearts and minds wth Him. Sin interrupts experiencing the joy we had in receiving salvation how special it was, how excited we were the joy was so great it was hard to contain, but in our walk we fall and during those seasons of the choices of the flesh we lose the joy of being saved. We end up regretting our salvation and murmur that we were better off than before salvation. I realize this is sin's goal to separate me from God, from  the joy and peace that we received from the gift of salvation. God restore the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to keep me and strengthen me to obey You.

Example Restore is to bring back into a previous state, right, practice, custom or situation. To reinstate, reinstall. To return (someone or something) to a former condition or position. To give back something that was lost or taken. o put or bring something back into existence or use. To return something or someone to an earlier or original condition.

Exercise Psalms 51:1-13 Journal and Talk to God

Devotion Lord I know my transgressions and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done wrong in Your sight. Cleanse me and I will be clean. Create in me a clean heart and do not cast me from Your presence, or take Your Holy Spirit from me. I think You for restoration I need the joy of Your salvation and a willing spirit that I remain sustained in Your way. The joy of the Lord is my strength, restore unto me my right mind that I may follow You forever and see the beauty of God's righteousness in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

What to Wear, What Not to Wear!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:2,5-8,13 TLC has a show entitled What Not to Wear. In this reality tv series family and friends recommend people for total transformation. The concept of the program is to take an individual who has not been able to give up garments that are old and out dated, clothing that leaves them lookin...
