PRAY AND NEVER GIVE UP!

S.E.E.D. For Today__Grant

Scripture "One day Jesus told His disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up." Luke 18:1 NLT

The story was about an unjust judge who had no fear of God nor did he care about people. There was a widow who consistently came to him for justice in a dispute with her enemy. The judge ignored  repeatedly until he said to himself I don't care about God or people but this woman is driving me crazy because she never stops coming and asking me to do something, she is wearing me out, I will grant her request. Jesus wanted the disciples to understand that the woman's tenacity in coming to the judge moved even the judge that didn't care about God or people how do you think that God will surely give justice to His chosen people who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? He will grant your request quickly! How many will the Son Of Man find on the earth who have faith? Prayer is the fabric of our faith, when we come to God we must be confident and consistent knowing that in Him all things are possible to those who pray, believe and never give up.

Example Grant to agree to give or allow something requested. Endow, allocate, permit.

Exercise Read Luke 18:1-17 Journal and Talk to God. Pray about everything and never give up, don't be anxious about anything but in prayer let your request be made known to God. "Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan." John Bunyan "Prayer is not monologue, but dialogue. It is because of the hasty and superficial conversation with God that the sense of sin is so weak and that no motives have power to help you to hate and flee from sin as you should." A.W. Tower

Devotion Lord I thank You for this week of learning more about prayer. My hope is to increase my prayer life. I pray that I will never give up praying no matter what the circumstance. I pray not to pray for my own needs but that You will grant justice and peace for everyone In Jesus Name Amen.
Don't pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. Corrie Ten Boom "Prayer is the acid test of devotion." Samuel Chadwick

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God
