LIVE IN PEACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___Peace

Scripture "Live in peace with each other." Romans 12:9-18 New Century Version

"Your love must be real. Hate what is evil and hold on to what is good. Love each other like brothers and sisters. Give each other more honor than you want for yourselves. Be patient when trouble comes, and pray at all times. Wish good for those who harm you, wish them well and do not curse them. Be happy with those who are happy and sad with those who are sad. Do your best to live in peace with everyone." The Gospel calls us to pursue the virtues of peace and love, both for Christians and those who oppose the gospel. Our lives are to demonstrate what Christ looks like. Along the journey of life we have lost the ability to cherish one another. We are not to compete with one another but to promote one another. Give up our big talk about ourselves and put our focus on some one else.  We are accountable to obey the Words of God.

Example Peace is the freedom from disturbance, from the cessation of war or violence. Order, harmony, ease, non-violence, one accord, stability of mind.

Exercise Romans 12:1-18 Journal and Talk to God. I Peter 2:17 "Show proper respect to everyone." This is our daily exercise. In your home, on your job, in your community, to your neighbor, it is the formula for peace. Keep on loving each other and show the world this is about the common good of all mankind. We must rise up and crush evil with Love.

Devotion Lord I pray today for Peace. That we walk in brotherly love not with selfish ambitions but to care for one another, the stranger and those who are in need. Teach us to rejoice with one another and teach us to mourn when others mourn. We have become a dog-eat-dog type of world, every man for himself but you have given us the command to be a sacrifice. I pray to live in that command in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

What to Wear, What Not to Wear!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:2,5-8,13 TLC has a show entitled What Not to Wear. In this reality tv series family and friends recommend people for total transformation. The concept of the program is to take an individual who has not been able to give up garments that are old and out dated, clothing that leaves them lookin...
