S.E.E.D. For Today___Reconciliation

Scripture "But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence--" Colossians 1:22 Berean Study Bible

Holiness is not an option for a believer there is no other recourse for us it is the result from the remedy of reconciliation. Eugene Peterson interprets it in this manner in the Message Bible he writes; "You yourselves are a case study of what He does. At one time you all had your backs turned to God thinking rebellious thoughts of Him, giving Him trouble by every chance you got. But by now giving Himself completely at the Cross, actually dying for you, Christ brought you over to God's side and put your lives together, whole and holy in His presence. You don't walk away from a gift like that! You stay grounded and steady in the bond of trust, constantly tuned in to the Message, careful not to be distracted or diverted. There is no other Message (in my own words NO OTHER RECOURSE) just this one. Every creature under heaven gets this same Message." Colossians 1:22-23

Example Reconciliation is the restoration of friendly relations, the bible tells us while we were enemies of God He gave Christ to make us friends with Him again. Reconciliation of opposing views to reunite. Bring two parties back into agreement.

Exercise Read Colossians 1:15-23 Journal and Talk to God. Reconciliation is a gift of forgiveness unto which we are recipients through Christ's physical death. Because of the reconciliation you received holiness is not an option. You must fight for holiness. Here are a few ways to do so. 1)Ask God for grace to resist temptation and traps. 2.) Identify the lies you and the enemy present that take residence in your thoughts. 3.) Be willing to submit and obey the truth of God's word and apply it. These are a few suggestions.

Devotion Lord help, Your poor children to be holy. Oh keep us so if we are so. Keep us even from stumbling, and present us faultlessness before your presence at last (Jude 24). We bring before You every case of trouble and trial known to us and ask for Your gracious intervention. Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...
