HOW DO YOU ROLL?

S.E.E.D. For Today___Walk

Scripture "See, then, exactly ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil;" Ephesians 5:15-16 Young's Literal Translation

How do you roll? Are you an imitator of God or a procreator of the things of the world. In this letter to the Ephesians Paul stressed the need for the church to walk in love as Christ loved us. Get rid of all whoredom and all uncleanliness or covetousness, for you are saints. Get rid of all the filthiness and foolish talk. Be careful how you live and make the most of every opportunity in the evil days. Make good sense of the life given you and understand what the Lord's will is, carefully determine what pleases the Lord, and be careful how you live. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.

Example Walk in the greek is peripateo in an ethical sense how I conduct my life. In full circle or in a complete circuit. Behave, or occupy, or to make one's way, make progress or make a due use of opportunities.

Exercise Read Galatians 5:1-20 Journal and talk to God. How do you roll? Take a ethical insight of your life, how do you conduct yourself at home, on your job, with your fellowman? Does The Word regulate your life, does it dictate the standards as it is given to govern our lives? What are you occupied with? The cares of this world will distract you and you will fail to make the progress necessary for spiritual growth. Use the questions to conduct inventory of your own life.

Devotion Lord we give you praise and honor this day. I confess today that I may not conduct myself according the principles laid before me from your word, but my goal is excellence in spite of  the disorder I can see. I pray for the wisdom to have conversations that are valuable, to take part in what in fruitful and to be mindful of what you expect of me. I pray that I will be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making music to You in my heart. I give thanks to You for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
