Scripture "Any Kingdom divided by civil war will collapse." Mark 3:24 NLT
The logic of the religious leaders and detractors in Jesus day was ridiculous. For the Savior of the world to be in cahoots with His enemy could only be the ignorance of those who did not believe in Christ. Jesus knew their thoughts and made it very plain that any kingdom against itself will fall and will not stand. No kingdom, no house, no army, no business, no team, no movement can survive an internal war, Jesus was letting them know it's impossible. The civil unrest in this country beginning with the 18th century, of the Pennsylvania Mutiny of 1783, the anti-government protest by soldiers of the Continental Army against the Congress of the Confederation in Philadelphia, Pa., the Whiskey Rebellion and the Fries Rebellion in 1791 and 1799. The 19th century Cincinnati riots of 1829, the Nat Turner slave rebellion in Virginia 1831, the Anti abolitionist riot in New York City in 1834, the Lombard St. abolition riots 1842, Detroit race riots in 1863, the bread riots that broke out in civil war due to massive food shortages in 1863. The 20th century, the race riots in New York in 1901, the Harlem Riots in 1934, 1964 July 16th the police killing of James Powell in the Yorkville neighborhood east of Harlem started a string of race riots and the race riots in Philadelphia, the days of rage in 1969 in Chicago, in 1992 the riots over the verdict of Rodney King, where 50 people died. In the 21st century the Los Angeles Day melee in 2007, the riots against BART police shooting of Oscar Bart 2009, 2011 Occupy Wall St. 2012 NATO Chicago Summit. 2014 Ferguson, New York for Eric Garner, 2015 Baltimore over Freddie Gray, 2016 attacks on police over the shootings of Abdullahi Omar Muhammad, 2016, the Donald Trump Rally, the shooting of the Dallas Police, the Black Live Matters. Civil unrest through out the years is tearing the United States down, we see the destruction and the doom if it continues God help us all.
Example To Be divided is to display the split or the disunity of something or someone or groups. It's to be incomplete and detached, but undivided is to be complete, whole, wholehearted, dedicated, consistent and not separate.
Exercise Read Luke 11th Chapter Journal and Talk to God continue to pray for the civil unrest in our nation right now, with blacks, whites and police, the presidential election and the civil unrest around the world.
Devotion Lord Today fix my heart on unity, in my house and outside of my house. Lord create in me a clean heart and renew a loyal spirit in me that an internal war will not occur in my members. In my flesh dwells nothing right and at times my mind is at a civil unrest of Your Word and Your Principles. If there will be change around me there has to change in me. Arrest every thought of protest against the knowledge of Your Word. I will not let my flesh lead me into a rebellion against your Kingdom for I know divided from You I fall and undivided I live thank You for life in Jesus Name Amen.
Amen Praise God
