A MATTER OF HUMAN DIGNITY

S.E.E.D. For Today__Humanity

Scripture "So God created human beings in His image. In the image of God He created them. Genesis  1:27 NLT

In light of everything that we are facing in our society today, police brutality and the horrific and senseless crimes that we commit against one another mankind must remember that we are destroying God's masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10 tells us; "For we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."This was never God's plan He knew that after Adam sinned that all mankind would no longer have His nature so He sent His Son into the world that we would again be like Him. He knows the heart of men, and His message to us is to love one another as you love yourself. Love and hate are at war, this is not about race, this is a matter of human dignity.

Example Humanity is the human race the action of humanity is humanness, benevolence, compassion, brotherly love, fraternity, fellow feeling, philanthropy, kindness, consideration, understanding, sympathy and tolerance.

Exercise Read Genesis Chapter 1 The beginning of creation Journal and Talk to God reflect on creation. What can you do within your own family and community to help restore humanity and human dignity. Let's start there that it start a fire of love and reconciliation for the entire world.

Devotion Lord we pray for the power of love, forgiveness and reconciliation to permeate our hearts and flow into the lives of others. I pray for peace on earth and that it will begin with me. I pray for all the lives lost the black men and the police officers, we are deeply hurt by any loss of life. We pray for the families of all. I pray that I will resemble the verb of humanity that I will treat my neighbor with benevolence, compassion, brotherly love, humanity is our fraternity, kindness, tolerance, consideration, understanding and sympathy, these are all actions that resemble You. I pray that we understand that Christ gave His life for all humanity in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

Time Travelers

S.E.E.D. For Today_ Forward Scripture "I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead." Philippians 3:13 NLT The Apostle Paul lets us know that he will not contend with the past or present measures of grace, but he is contending to stretch himself to go forward. He realized that he had not mastered many areas of perfection in his life after his conversion. He did not rest on the power and prestige he had in his former life. He did not linger on the fact that he gave orders for many to be executed and imprisoned but now he himself was a prisoner of which he boldly denounced. Paul thinks forward, he forgets about his Jewish privileges and presses on the great race in which his goal is to win. We are time travelers that are moving forward. Paul says we press toward. Example In the direction that one is facing or traveling. Onward, being progressive, future. Exercise Read Philippians 3:12-14 Evaluate ...
