Trade

S.E.E.D. For Today_Trade

Scripture "[He has sent me] to provide for all those who grieve in Zion, to give them crowns (beauty) instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of [tears of] of grief, and clothes of praise instead of a spirit of weakness. They will be called Oaks of  Righteousness, the Plantings of the Lord, so that He might display His glory." Isaiah 61:3 Good News Translation

The background of this passage is the Year of Jubilee, after 49 years the Jews were to celebrate the fiftieth year. The year that everyone was given a fresh new beginning. This was the Lord's way of balancing the economy and keeping the rich from exploiting the poor. Jesus made a trade (exchange) His life for our debt, our bondage, our sorrow, our brokenness, our poverty, our loss. He exported all the rights that Satan had over our lives by His death and resurrection.  Born into the world, He imported His Kingdom, traded with us now we have His love, His joy, His peace. Because of this huge trade between Heaven and Earth we can rebuild, be repaired and be restored.

Example Typically trade is a commercial investment transaction, to exchange something for something else. Import and export are also commercial or investment terms, export is to send or transport a commodity especially for trade and import is to bring in.

Exercise Read Isaiah 61:1-11 Christ was exported from Heaven a trade (exchange) for our lives. To exchange the ashes of our lives for a crown (beauty) that He might display His glory. "You will receive a double measure of wealth instead of your shame. You will have joy everlasting."vs.7

Devotion Lord I praise you today, I give you honor. I thank you for your trade You were sent into the world that we would have life and have life abundantly. I am grateful for this great trade you made for my life, today because of you I'm trading my sorrow, trading my pain for the joy of the Lord in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
