S.E.E.D. For Today_Shareholders
Scripture "And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact together with Christ we are heir's of God's glory. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering. Romans 8:17 NLT
Paul proceeds to unfold some of the implications of being members of God's family. If we are children then we are heirs and shareholders with Christ. The heir is in a position of privilege as a result of receiving shares from their place in the family. All that Christ claims will belong to all of us as well. The promised inheritance comes with a statement of fact that as heirs we become shareholders not only of what He possess but also of the sufferings that revealed His glory. We do not share in the redemptive suffering of Christ, but we do share the consequences in terms of opposition from the world He came to save. As members of the same family we share in the trials of life as well as the benefits.
Example In the terms of investing and stock a shareholder is a holder or owner of shares, especially in a company or a corporation. Christ made us shareholders of the Kingdom of God, through His life, death, burial and resurrection.
Exercise Read Romans 8:17-21 As shareholders we must remember to allocate our assets. Shares are assets owned by a company, organization or corporation. Strategically measure the risk vs. reward as shareholders we must not only share in the glory (the benefits) but also share in the suffering (risk), "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."
Devotion Lord I thank you today for making me a shareholder not just of the glory but of the sufferings as well. I pray for the strength, wisdom, and knowledge needed to serve in this great empire the Kingdom Of God. I pray as a shareholder that I continue to seek The Dow, daily trusting and acknowledging You with all that You have entrusted to me. I pray God that I fulfill my obligation to you as CEO in Jesus Name Amen.
Awesome word about Co existing and co habitating with God. We are royal partners that must work together. As a shareholder i have to see both the risk and reward of all I do.
