Just Right And On Time

S.E.E.D. For Today_Timing

Scripture "God has given them a desire to know the future. He does everything just right and on time, but people can never completely understand what he is doing." Ecclesiastes 3:11

If we accept life as it is, even the hard parts will become bearable. Often times we feel like aliens in the world of time. We also desire to understand our place in the world against the backdrop of eternity. But we cannot find out what God does from beginning to end, we are not able to discern any plan or pattern of all this. God's purposes are usually outside of our realm of control or investigation. God accomplishes His purposes in His time, but it will not be until we enter eternity that we will begin to comprehend His total plan. Our earthly pursuits while lawful in their season become unprofitable if God never intended them to be. Sometime we try to force timing through our own efforts to be happy but out of God's order become a disappointment.  The Psalms writer says in 1:3 that we are like trees planted by streams of water, that yield fruit in the right timing. "God has planned a time for everything and every action,"v17. Jesus life showed a wonderful balance of the sense of timing. On one occasion in John 7:6  His brothers urged Him to go to Judea. Jesus replied; the right time has not come for Me yet. Timing is everything.

Example The time when something happens or is done especially when it is thought of as having a good or bad effect on the result.

Exercise Read Ecclesiastes Chapter 3; It is said that the purpose of this poem was to set the stage for this discussion, that God does everything when the time is right. He also put eternity into man's mind, He has given us the desire to know the future. We must acknowledge that the place, purpose and timing of every person, thing or event is God's overall plan. We can investigate to try to make sense of His plan but we will never know unless God chooses to reveal it to us. Timing is everything, you have to wait for the instructions. The instructions come in daily prayer,  Jesus prayed to the Father for instructions. Even now He is waiting for the Father to tell Him it's time to return. He doesn't know it only the Father does. Don't force your destiny God does everything just right and on time.

Devotion Lord I pray for the timing of God. Help me not to become agitated while waiting. I pray for the patience to follow, in prayer I receive the instructions of your plan for my life. Your timing is appropriate. You have created me with the desire for eternal things and a realization that this life cannot be all there is, please reveal the plan to me in your timing that Your Will be done in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

What to Wear, What Not to Wear!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:2,5-8,13 TLC has a show entitled What Not to Wear. In this reality tv series family and friends recommend people for total transformation. The concept of the program is to take an individual who has not been able to give up garments that are old and out dated, clothing that leaves them lookin...
