DON"T GET DEFLATED

S.E.E.D. For Today_Deflated

Scripture "So don't lose your confidence. It will bring you a great reward. Hebrews 10:35 Good News Translation

"You must hold on, so you can do what God wants and receive what He has promised." In this letter the believer's were under a lot of pressure and persecution about their decision to leave Judaism to become Christian. The believers were encouraged to persevere in the midst of their struggle. Have you ever second guessed yourself when it comes to following Christ? Have you ever wondered what have I done? In difficult circumstances we must put our faith to work, in times of hopelessness, sadness, and frustration we need to persevere in doing the will of God. Know this that God's promises to you are unbreakable, so don't fall out, don't get deflated, for there is a reward waiting, your faithfulness and your tenacity will prove well for you. Don't forget how you stood through many trials, there were many tough days before and you were victorious. Do not give up!

Example Deflated is to depress or reduce a person or person's ego, hopes, and spirit. To cause someone to suddenly lose confidence or feel less important. To puncture or dash.

Exercise Read Hebrews 10:32-39 Journal or talk to God about your struggle. Sometimes we get comfortable and when wartime comes we can't handle the pressure. You have endured many sleepless nights, the gossip, the betrayals, being deserted, even loss, listen it is not in vain. God is working from the Inside Out. Don't believe the lies that you are worthless, you are a treasure in  this fragile clay jar.

Devotion Lord I thank You for Your Word today. I will not get deflated, I will not allow life to depress me, to reduce who I am in Christ, I will not lose hope, I will not lose confidence, I will not lose heart. I will not allow circumstances to puncture my faith, to dash my expectation, but I trust in You and the promises of God for my life. Strengthen me Lord and continue to mold me from the inside out.  I trust You in every sense of the word in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

What to Wear, What Not to Wear!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:2,5-8,13 TLC has a show entitled What Not to Wear. In this reality tv series family and friends recommend people for total transformation. The concept of the program is to take an individual who has not been able to give up garments that are old and out dated, clothing that leaves them lookin...
