INFINITE WORTH

S.E.E.D. For Today____Value

Scripture "Again the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46 NLT

As humans we are not easily wearied with renewed prospects of gain. Jesus knew that the love of earthly things is deeply rooted in our hearts so in a parable he impressed our minds with better things. He repeatedly impressed His Gospel under great stories of obtaining. In what respects the Kingdom of Heaven may be compared to a pearl. The Kingdom of Heaven is the kingdom of grace established in the world, and the Kingdom is of inestimable value to us. When a person finds this treasure they will give whatever it takes to keep it. The Kingdom of God is of such great value that it is worth relinquishing everything a person has to enter into it. Today as Christians we don't treat the Kingdom for what it's worth. It appears that we have cast our pearls before swine.

Example Value is the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. The benefit, the profit, the advantage. A person's principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life.

Exercise Read Matthew 13:44-52 Journal and Talk to God. How do you value the Kingdom Of God? What does this mean to you? In what regards is the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first, second or third? And now that you have discovered this pearl have you bought it? Or are you trying the have the pearl but keep the shell(the field or the world) that you obtained it in?

Devotion Lord I pray for wisdom to understand the value of the Kingdom of Heaven. I pray that I will hold it with the highest regard in my heart. I pray to remember the importance, the benefit, the advantage I possess. I give my life for it in Jesus Name Amen.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda
