“And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. Luke 21:25
It is now the year 2011, scientist and astronomers say that the earth has shifted. Due to this shift the stars have changed their position, and have included another star. Scientist say there are no longer twelve stars to the horoscope, but there are now 13. A new star named Ophiuchus, which its symbol is the serpent, which is not hard to believe this would be its symbolism. Not only a new star has been added but astrologers say people's zodiac signs have now changed.
So what does all this mean? Well for those who are consumed by identifying their character and lifestyle through their zodiac sign this may mean that the Capricorn will no longer be compatible to Taurus because of this shift. But for Christians it shouldn't mean anything more than just another sign of the time. Last night ABC's nightline featured the sudden change of the zodiac in their segment that concludes their show titled, signs of the times. They were showing how people were concerned about what would their new sign be. Should that matter to us? No, not at all, since we were created in the image of God and not identified by the stars. The stars during the birth of Jesus led the Magi to the new coming King, and may possibly be a sign to His return. Marilyn Hickey wrote a very interesting book that I read years ago called "The Signs In the Heavens", she identified the zodiac and symbols to the coming and return of Christ.
Believers everywhere must pay attention, be alert and not get caught up in what's happening in the world. Lay down your Leo instincts and put away your gemini personality, the twins, (sometimes good and sometimes bad). No matter what scientist come up with do not let none of it deceive you, continue to understand that all of this is leading to the second coming of Christ. Get rid of thinking like the world, pay close attention for all of these are just the "Signs of the Times".
