A Call to Men and Women of Faith

Now Faith is the assurance (the conformation, the title deed)of the things(we)hope for, being the proof of things (we)do not see and the conviction of their reality (faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses). For by (faith-trust and holy fervor born of faith) the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. By faith we understand that the worlds (during the sucessive ages) were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:1-3 AMP.Bible

Yesterday marked another year that we celebrated nationally, the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The book of Hebrews gives us an account of men and women prompted, aroused, motivated and urged by faith to trust God for what seemed to be impossible. Having these men and women as examples has become a blessing to those who believe the word of God. But in our lifetime we have been blessed to have as an example the faith of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His faith in God led him to begin the civil rights movement which led to a great change in America for African Americans. Although he did not live to see the promise fulfilled, God has kept his word.
As we reflect on the faith of Dr. King to believe for the equal rights of all men, we should believe for the change to come into the lives of those we come in contact with on a daily basis. Our faith should not be just for the blessings of God for our lives, but faith that we can live for God in such a way that it will impact others, allowing us to be used by God for the freedom of others. Freedom from sin and death, and the right to the promise of eternal life.
Many of us today want to believe God just for our wants and needs, but their are so many who are still living in slavery (slavery to sin). As we remember the life of Dr. King we cannot forget the one who redeemed the world whose name is Jesus Christ! If it was not for Christ none of us would have never had the chance to know what true freedom would be like.
So I'm making a call to all of those who want to help bring change to someone who has never experienced anyone standing up on their behalf. In this New Year by faith let's become aroused and motivated, let the word of God prompt you and urge you to allow God to use you by faith to make a real difference in the world that all men can be free at last!

  3. Awesome! I am certain that faith is always present, even in it's weakest state. However it is the maintenance of faith as we stand on unstable grounds, as the winds blow and the seasons change both with and without us, here it becomes a matter of spiritual connection, the remembrance of whose we are and why we are, that keeps us, re-awakens within us the press towards an even greater of expectations in our creator's ableness beyond whatever is set before us, beyond what our eyes can see...

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda
