I Will Wait For God

"Lord if you keep in mind our sins then who can ever get an answer to his prayers? But you forgive! What an awesome thing this is! That is why I wait expectantly, trusting God to help, for He has promised. I long for Him more than sentinels long for the dawn." Proverbs 130:3-6

Whatever our condition, we must continue to wait on God. Sometimes we may experience great trouble and affliction and be at an utter loss of what to do, sinking and drooping, but we have the priviledge to call on God. In spite of all our sins God still comes to our aid. We don't deserve our prayers to be answered but God's love for us is so awesome, He forgives us and will help us in the times of trouble.

Waiting for God is no easy task, especially for those of us who have a problem with waiting. We want everything to happen when we want, but the best things in life do come to those who wait on it. So as you sit and wait for Him do not think that your waiting is in vain, God's timing is always perfect.

God and His wisdom knows what is best for us, as we wait we get closer to Him. Don't let anything or anyone discourage you from waiting on God. Don't let anyone deceive you and offer you a short cut, wait until God shows up on behalf of your situation. It may be easier said than done, but in reality we wait all the time. We wait for the bus to come, for the car to start and get warm in the winter and cool in the summer, we wait for our food to cook, or we wait on being served in a restaraunt, or even waiting in long lines in the supermarket. In everyday things we wait, so why not wait on God. Why is that so impossible for us when our lives are based on waiting for things to happen.

Wait on Him, it will be worth it. Praise God, there is hope for all, God's love and redemption is for everyone that wait's for Him. Hope in God's forgiving love, believe that this situation you are in right now, God will come and deliver you, if you wait on Him. He is coming to your rescue. He wants to see if your trust in Him will out last the trouble. The storm is strong and the rain is heavy, but can you stand the rain. God is faithful to His promises you can count on that. As we wait for the rains to end trust in the Lord, a new day is coming, happiness will have its place in your life. In the meantime sit still, don't judge by your time, but God's timimg is perfect. Don't get discouraged, encourage yourself and repeat to yourself, I Will Wait On God!

  1. Pastor, you are so true. Waiting for God, his promises and his return are all apart of the Christian experience. We have to have endurance, because the race is not won by the swift, but he that can endure and stay in the race. However, we have to wait with expectancy.l..Great Post and love the picture!

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

What to Wear, What Not to Wear!

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:2,5-8,13 TLC has a show entitled What Not to Wear. In this reality tv series family and friends recommend people for total transformation. The concept of the program is to take an individual who has not been able to give up garments that are old and out dated, clothing that leaves them lookin...
