Chosen

"But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted." "But now, up on your feet—I have a job for you. I’ve hand-picked you to be a servant and witness to what’s happened today, and to what I am going to show you.‘I’m sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me." Acts 26:16-18 (The Message)

We are a chosen people, which immediately takes us to the grace of God. God did not choose us because we were good or great, but chose us because He loved us so much. We have been set apart to belong exclusively to God and to be conscious of the fact that we are not citizens of this world, just visitors passing through. But today the people of God have broken down the walls that gave them their distinction of being different from the world. The world cannot see our differences any more and we have become royal children who have rebelled against our kingdom heritage. There is a difference between holy and unholy and we have had no regard for the priviledge we have been given to belong to that and instead have chosen to disobey God.

Once we were nothing, but because of Christ we are now something and someone, royalty can you imagine that. So because of our royal heritage we are responsible to reveal the praises of God to a lost and dying world. You have been chosen to become a living advertisement for the goodness and love of God. Showing others that God has deleivered us from the bondage of sin and because of His grace and mercy it behooves us to be faithful to Him.

We are living in enemy territory, and the enemy is constantly watching us, looking for opportunities to move in and take over. As citizens of heaven, we must be united. We must present to the world a united demonstration of what the grace and mercy of God can do. As we watch the news we are told everyday of the fights and the dissension among the men and women who serve with the President of the United States. These politicians are not presenting a united front, and the nation is a bit uneasy. I wonder what the unsaved people think when they see the children of the most High God and servants of God fighting among themselves.

You have been chosen, and your responsibilty is to live and lead by example before those who are living in complete darkness. Just imagine this, what if God had not called you out when He did? With all the things going on in the world would you want to be blind at a time like this! You have been chosen royal children of God. We watch in the media as Prince Charles and Kate prepare for what some are calling the royal wedding of the century. So much planning and preparations are being made for this day. I'm sure Kate feels blessed to have been chosen to marry into royalty. But wait a minute she is not the only one that's been chosen for a royal wedding, we have too, the people of God. The King will return to recieve His prepared bride, oh what a day!

You have been set apart a royal priesthood, now share what miraculous things that the Lord has done for you. Now that He has placed you up on your feet, you have a job to do. You have been hand-picked by the King, speak out about His love and His mercy. Tell someone about the difference He made in your life, help someone to understand you have to make a choice between who you will serve, is it God or Satan. You have been chosen to help others receive what you have recieved from God, YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN!
