Waiting on the Lord

"But those who wait on the LORD,
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV BIBLE

Most of us, when waiting on circumstances to change, panic and live in such despair. Instead of praising the Lord, we complain, get angry and act as though God does not know our situation or have any concern for us. But God knows how we feel and just what our fears are, and He has the adequate means to meet our needs. It's all about trusting God for every situation. If we trust ourselves, we will faint and fall, but if we wait on the Lord by faith, we will receive strength for the journey. The word wait does not suggest that we sit around and do nothing. We should be serving and doing the will of the Lord until something happens in our situation.

As we wait on God, He will renew our strength, renew means to exchange, it's like this we exchange our weakness, in return we receive the strength of the Lord. God then enables us to soar like eagles above every crisis, see, you can't just run away when the challenges are too many , and though the ordianary pressures of life get hard, God and His wisdom has a plan if we listen to it, that will get us through.

Those who trust to their own sufficiency, and are so confident of it, that they never exert themselves to seek God for His grace, are those who think themselves stronger than they are. But they shall faint and get weary, yes, they shall definitely fail in their services, in their conflicts, and under their burdens, they shall soon be made to see the foolishness of trusting only themselves. But those that wait on the Lord, who make conscience of their service to Him, and by faith rely upon Him and commit themselves to His lead, shall find that God will not fail them.

As you serve the Lord in every dire circumstance, believe me He will give you grace that is sufficient enough to keep you while you wait for things to change. Let's look at the word veer, it means to turn aside or swerve, from a course, direction or purpose. Wait on the Lord don't make a move in your situation until He tells you to. If you veer you will definitely stray from the direction the Lord is shifting you. Another defintion for veer is to move or shift clockwise, wait on God He is dealing with us as it pertains to time and He will suddenly change the direction of the way things are going for you when your hour arrives. God will give you strength to labour, strength to wrestle, strength to resist and strength to bear. As the day so shall the strength be.

Continue serving in this uncomfortable place you're in. I think that being a waiter or a waitress is one of the most frustrating jobs ever. Because it's very hard dealing with people, especially when they picture you as their servant for that hour or two. And believe me, it is just as frustrating serving the Lord and waiting on Him to come in and change your circumstance. But what do you do until that happens, wait on Him, serve God's people and do your best, and in due season, the clock will shift and it will be your turn for a new occasion to occur in your life. In your greatest distresses, continue waiting on God, and not despair of timely relief, but wait I say on the Lord!

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda

Looking Forward to What Lies Ahead

"But all these things that I once thought very worthwhile, now I've thrown them all away so that I can put my trust and hope in Christ alone. Yes everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ, and become one with Him, no longer counting on being saved by being good enough or by obeying God's laws, but by trusting Christ to save me; for God's way of making us right with Himself depends on faith, counting on Christ alone. Now I have given up everything else, I have found it to be the only way to really know Christ and to experience the mighty power that brought Him back to life again, and to find out what it means to suffer and to die with Him. So whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead. I don't mean to say I am perfect. I haven't learned all I sho
