Living Undercover

"A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance. Blessed is the man who reveres God, but the man who doesn't care is headed for serious trouble." Proverbs 28:13-14 TLB

A mask is defined as a form of disguise. It is an object that is frequently worn over or in front of the face to hide the identity of a person and by its own features to establish another being. This essential characteristic of hiding and revealing personalities or moods is common to all masks. After a person sins he may try to conceal that fact from God and from others. But hiding sin never pays off, including the fact that we can never hide anything from God. Nothing prospers for the individual who tries to cover their wrongs, even their hurts or their fears.

The enemy of your soul would love for you to live your life undercover, this makes him a very happy enemy when the people of God choose not to reveal their true identity. But you do understand that inside you are dying while you cover up everday and give others this false pretense of happiness, strength and stability, but underneath the mask there is an individual who is about to fall apart and lose it! You are who, you are, what has happened, has happened, and what you have done, you have done. The best thing for you to do now is not to cover up your naked places as Adam and Eve did in the garden, but expose your shame, hurt and fears before the Lord and allow Him to help and heal your soul.

Look, those who confess their crimes and are remorseful are more likely to get the mercy of the court than those who try to the end to conceal their guilt, and the hardened criminal will be more severely treated than someone who shows fear of the power of the state. Throw your self before the mercy of the Lord, don't let pride deceive you into thinking you can live concealing your true identity. You don't have the power to heal yourself only thing you can do is hide it, but it would be to your demise if you lived your life undercover. Oh! the misery that lives under that mask. Give up the impossible task of trying to hide your issues.

Confession is the divinely-appointed method of securing conscience rest, confession not to some human mediator, but to God Himself. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” I John 1:9 Expose your troubles, expose your fears, expose your sins, don't live in secret another day the Lord knows, but He wants you to come to Him. He's waiting on you to remove the mask so He can heal your heart and soul and set you free from the bondage of false identity. Don't be a fraud, let God authenticate you as a true child of God. Give up the mask, give up living undercover!

  1. WOWWWWWWWWW!!!! Not only is this true but it is on time! Many televangelists have been broadcasting the same message since Sunday morning. One man said that hypocrisy is pretending to be something that you are not. We always focus on a person who goes to church but still sins. "Oh they're a hypocrite. How dare they come here each Sunday and still do those things?" When in actuality we are all sinners. Some of us just pretend to be holy or as the blog says wear a mask. I know one thing is for sure. I will be asking the Lord to reveal to me those things about myself that need a confession and a change. I want to be true to Him!

  2. Pastor Ray, God izz.. so good...

PRIDE, I cast you off my spirit TODAY! In this forum I humbly confess that we have walked together too long!!

I thank God for a spirit of independance that motivated and sustained me for a season but has long been a henderance affording ME acclaim and my own glory.

But to God be the glory for this season of dependance on him. How he has faithfully sent the boat, the big ship and the submarines and PRIDE, would say " Nope don't need you, that or it, I GOT THIS"!?

Pride WILL COST ME NOT, from this day forward another BLESSING however the Lord would have his way in and on my life!

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda

Looking Forward to What Lies Ahead

"But all these things that I once thought very worthwhile, now I've thrown them all away so that I can put my trust and hope in Christ alone. Yes everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ, and become one with Him, no longer counting on being saved by being good enough or by obeying God's laws, but by trusting Christ to save me; for God's way of making us right with Himself depends on faith, counting on Christ alone. Now I have given up everything else, I have found it to be the only way to really know Christ and to experience the mighty power that brought Him back to life again, and to find out what it means to suffer and to die with Him. So whatever it takes, I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead. I don't mean to say I am perfect. I haven't learned all I sho
