"Stay always within the boundaries where God's love can reach and bless you. Wait patiently for the eternal life that our Lord Jesus Christ in His mercy is going to give you. Try to help those who argue against you. Be merciful to those who doubt. Save some by snatching them from the very flames of hell itself. And as for others, help them to find the Lord by being kind to them, but be careful that you yourselves aren't pulled along into their sins. Hate every trace of their sin while being merciful to them as sinners." Jude 21-23 TLB
As we watch the rescue efforts of many trying to save those in Japan from the terrible devastation that has hit that country, I can't help but be reminded of the great rescue mission that we have been assigned to. Japan's death total is now over 10,000, but the great hope that we see is there are many who are being rescued daily. We regret the lost of those who did not survive, but we must praise God for those that have been rescued. There are forces coming from all over the world to help in this disaster and I am grateful for all those that have committed themselves to this huge rescue mission. As the world watches and families wait to hear good news that their loved ones are alive, Christians must continue in the rescue mission of the century, which is the saving of the soul.
Yes people of God, as we pray for those who can reach Japan and help in that rescue mission, one must not forget that we are still on a mission ourselves, using the situation in Japan and every opportunity we get, to be used by God for the saving of the soul. Our flesh will not live forever but our souls will and that is why we must continue our rescue mission without ceasing. The mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ is extended to everyone and we must go after those like we are rescuing them from a fire. With love and compassion, showing mercy to those whose hearts are filled with doubt. A writer by the name of Stephen Grellet said that "I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to my fellow-creature, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." When we think about snatching others from the fire it refers to the imminent destruction that will overcome those who are weak in faith and are being burned by sin and in this case time is precious.
With caution reach out and help those who seem to be trapped in between and be careful not to get trapped yourselves. Contend for the faith and help others survive too. Jesus has left us with a rescue mission and we must pull as many as we can from the fire that tries to destroy their soul. Watch and pray, lead others to salvation, no effort should be spared in rescuing others from danger. Whatever it takes, calling on volunteers, chaos is everywhere and there is a rescue mission taking place that needs your help today, don't defer or neglect it, someone, somewhere is crying for help and needs to be rescued right away!

This is so great Pastor. It took you many times over to encourage and help me when I was down and out... Jesus gave you the example, you followed and helped all of your spiritual children and today, we must pay it forward to encourage others who are babies in Christ. Let the great rescue mission begin!!!
