In Over My Head!

"O Lord don't turn back your tender mercies from me! My only hope is in your love and faithfulness. Otherwise I perish, for problems far too big for me to solve are piled higher than my head. Meanwhile my sins, too many to count, have all caught up with me and I am ashamed to look up. O my God you are my helper. You are my Savior, come quickly, and save me. Please don't delay!" Psalms 40:11-12,17 TLB

Double trouble demands a double deliverance! Not only are we dealing with trouble we created for ourselves, but we have to deal with our enemies as well. God I am counting on you to free me of my past and deliver me from my present distress, for at this moment I am in over my head and at times I am ashamed to look up, because I feel like my present struggles are as a result of my past mistakes. But only you O God faithful full of tender mercies can free me from this pit that I'm in.

It seems like things are good for a while then something else that I have formerly done seems to catch up with me again. I'm trying to go forward but it seems like my past and my present does not want me to move. Hear my prayer O Lord, listen to my cry, please look upon me and be mindful of my tears. For I am just a sinner saved by your grace, so please spare me Lord and let me recover and be filled with happiness. You have preserved me and I thank you for that. Save me from being overpowered by my sins, I confess my life is no longer in my hands and my only hope is in you.

After all I realize that all my business and rushing ends in nothing if I don't do what your will is first. God I thought I had control, but I see I have no power when it comes down to it, for I realize that whatever strength I have it comes from you. Constantly I find myself on the verge of sin, ready to do it my way, later having to say I'm sorry for what I have done. But today I lay down my pride and my arrogance, for I realize they are not my friends, for they are the ones that have help me resist and disobey your word. Don't get impatient with me God, I confess, without you I am a mess!

Your mercy and grace is so amazing, you have not allowed my sins to destroy me nor my enemies to triumph over me so I will give you praise. I was in over my head, but I feel your help coming to lift me out of this despair. I thank you for new mercies and a new song and now many will hear of the glorious things that you have done for me, I will stand in awe before you Lord and put all my trust in you. Your word says that many blessings are given to those who trust you. Who else can save me when I get off track and end up "In Over My Head!" It is only you that can help me, the Lord of my salvation.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
