"If a Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help him back onto the right path, remembering that next time it might be one of you who is in the wrong. Share each other's troubles and problems, and so obey our Lord's command. If anyone thinks he is too great to stoop to this, he is fooling himself. He is really a nobody." Ephesians 6:1-3 TLB
Everyone, everywhere, get's hit with situations that knock us down every now and again. Many people are suffering many hardships all over the world. We have famine and war at an all time high, people fighting for freedom and justice, children trying to survive their environments filled with drugs and gun violence, bully's and suicide, people fighting cancer, diabetes, heart trouble, and every other sickness, fighting all these attacks from the enemy, the one who tries to steal our souls. Some of these issues you can take medicine for and some you can not. But how does one heal when he has been overcome by sin and has fallen so deep that they are ashamed to return, what will it take? It takes the love of others to reach out and give to those who are in trouble, a helping hand!
Paul instructed the church in Ephesus to be of any type of assitance to those who had fallen into sin, gently, humbly and in love, encouraging them to go on in Christ inspite of any setbacks. Nobody is perfect and we all mess up! So instead of our brothers and sisters watching us struggle to get back in line with our faith, they should see whatever it is in love they can do to help someone be restored.
The bible commands us to help one another out of every problem, remembering that the same situation can overtake you. The next time you find yourself in a situation the same love and concern you showed to someone else will be shown to you. No one is exempt from a bad day or a bad season, so let's not ignore those crying out or suffering silently, that you know can use a helping hand. Everyone be sure to do your very best at paying attention to each other, be able to discern when one of us is in trouble, so we can step in quickly to help them get back on the right track.
If there is anyone who thinks they are to great to stoop down to this level, or bending over backwards for somebody else, is only fooling himself! Reach out give your hurting brother or sister a helping hand, and watch when your turn comes there will be a hand reaching out to assist you.

This is a great post Pastor. I know this applies to me as I have not always bent down to help others who are in need becuase it seems like I am always in need. But God did not call us to focus on ourselves, but others who are in need of encouragment and love.
