"But of this be assured: if the householder had known at what time the burglar was coming, he would have been awake and alert and watching and would not have permitted his house to be dug through and broken into. You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour and a moment when you do not anticipate it." Luke 12:39-40 AMP
Jesus states that just as the owner of a house does not know when the burglar is coming but must be at all times ready to protect his property, so also believers do not know when their Master will return, and should, accordingly, always be prepared in mind and heart. When least expected, He arrives. At an hour that you do not expect Jesus will return. Is your security system any good? Are you telling others about Christ return, but yet, you have not taken heed to the warnings for yourself?
Burglars broke into a New York firm which manufactures burglar-proof glass. To get in, they smashed a big glass-panel door. They got away with about $150 in merchandise. “It never occurred to us,” said the president of the firm, “to put our own burglar-proof glass in the door.” —Gospel Herald
What a story! It seems to me that the owner of the company would have confirmed the worth of their product to be reliable by first testing the product on their own property. But many of us are just like the president of this firm. We have the security in Christ to make it to heaven but are not using what we know and applying it to our own lives. Many Christians today are leaving the doors wide open for the opportunity to be left behind. It would be wise for believers who have not set their security systems for quite sometime to set the alarm so you do not get robbed of your opportunity for heaven when Christ returns.
"Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you." Revelations 3:3 Repent and reconnect, while you are living life your way, Jesus will come when most are in a place where His return will catch them at an unexpected time. Don't let that be you, is your security system any good? Be on guard, never leave your house unprepared, live life ready and connected to Christ at all times. Don't get so busy living life unprotected, this is just our temporary home. Keep your alarm system on, trust me you do not want to be robbed of your opportunity of heaven. If you heard that your house was a target to be robbed, you would be waiting for the thief to arrive and have security sytems in place. Believe what you have heard Jesus return will come like a thief in the night, please be ready.
"Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36
If you don't know Jesus, now is the time to give your life to Christ. Secure your house, ask Christ to come in and give Him complete control. The decision is worth it, you will never regret choosing eternal life in Jesus Christ. God Bless

Yeah, my father in law often gets made at me becuase I leave the screen door unlocked. He says that one day someone will come in the home and get our belongigs. I explain it is becuase I grew up in a neighborhood that we could keep the door open. I want my life to be prepared for the return of Christ so that I can have the life I always wanted, a life of joy and happiness.
