"The Harp Inside My Heart"

"My God, I will sing you a brand-new song!" "The harp inside my heart will make music to You!" Psalms 144:9  In this psalm David is giving God the praise for His mercy and power upon the lives of His people. He sings a new song to the Lord expressing God's greatness and for experiencing God's help in a new way, he is grateful for this fresh understanding of the wonderful character of God and for his new beginning.

Following every deliverance in your life it will prompt a new level of praise and commitment to God. Trials produce and cultivate worship, in those troubling moments we all seek Him more. David in this psalm has a song of victory in his heart, thanking God for being his true hero and for the promise of blessings. The song starts out so powerful, it says; "There is only one strong safe, and secure place in all the world for me; it's in God alone and I love Him! He is the one who gives me strength and skill for every battle. He's my shelter of love and my fortress of faith, my shield and You are the one I hide myself in, the one who subdues my enemies." He continues the song with a question of why does God even notice and bothers to put up with us, for we are nothing more than a passing shadow.

In the middle of the song he prays to God to intervene and deal with the enemy. This psalm is about wrestling with a crisis, and renewing the courage of the people to push forward to better days. Don't hang up your harp or give up your praise because of your situation. (Psalms 137:2) I encourage you today for every crisis you may be facing right now, to put a praise on it, let the harp in side your heart begin to make music to the Lord on behalf of your circumstance. Let the strings of your heart pluck out a melody that will bring you and your crisis into Harmony with God. In the middle of it re-new your praise accompanied by the harp of your heart. The music of your heart will provoke God to reach down from heaven to free you, restore and refresh you!

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
