"Peace That Subdues"

Everyone is searching for peace, but what is peace? It can be defined as freedom from disturbance, quietness, tranquility, calm order or prosperity and harmony or an agreement to end war. As we continue in the fruit of the Spirit today we are going to talk about "Peace" That Subdues. The word subdue is to bring under control by physical force to persuade, overcome, conquer, reduce or tone down or to bring under cultivation. We want to put this fruit the peace that subdues into the perspective of our everyday battles (war) inner and outer. I am reminded that Jesus subdued the sea when He spoke to it and said Peace be still, in some translations it says calm down! (Mark 4:39) In us we have the same authority to speak to whatever is raging in us and around us, we have been given the power to overcome and conquer all circumstances. Peace is now apart of your new character, "the peace of God (a peace that is beyond any and all of our human understanding) will watch over your hearts and minds in Jesus the Anointed One." (Phil.4:7 The Voice Bible) Now that you got walk in it! Whatever is tormenting or pressing or ravaging your heart and mind, you have the power to reduce all the lies, tone down all the negative thoughts, cultivate in you a new mind set, persuade yourself that all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and all who have been called according to His purpose, force everything that tries to exalt itself against this knowledge, convey it into captivity that they are subdued by the word of God. That you may experience quietness, calmness, and freedom in the midst of every disturbance. Jesus said in (John 14:27) " I am leaving with you a gift---peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give as a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid." Today understand that you have to use the gifts that has been given to you from the Lord. This fruit is not forbidden, eat of it and have a peaceful day.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

A MATTER OF HUMAN DIGNITY

S.E.E.D. For Today__ Humanity Scripture "So God created human beings in His image. In the image of God He created them. Genesis  1:27 NLT In light of everything that we are facing in our society today, police brutality and the horrific and senseless crimes that we commit against one another mankind must remember that we are destroying God's masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10 tells us;  "For we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago." This was never God's plan He knew that after Adam sinned that all mankind would no longer have His nature so He sent His Son into the world that we would again be like Him. He knows the heart of men, and His message to us is to love one another as you love yourself. Love and hate are at war, this is not about race, this is a matter of human dignity. Example Humanity is the human race the action of humanity is humanness, benevolence, compassi...
