Gentleness Of Heart

Gentleness is the quality of being well born, refined, quiet, tame, docile, mild, tender, kind, etc. It is the opposite of being harsh and austere. Paul in 2nd Timothy 2 explains to this young pastor that a true servant of the Lord must not be argumentative but gentle toward all, able to teach and not be resentful. Then with that gentleness and meekness you would be able to carefully enlighten those who argue with you, this will allow others to experience the gracious gift of repentance and be brought to the truth. This will cause them to rediscover themselves and escape from the snare of Satan who caught them in his trap so that they would carry out his purposes. We are created to carry out the purpose of God, we are commissioned to exhort one another and not to speak evil of no man, we are not to be brawlers but gentle to everyone. We have been called to not be slanderous, but peaceable and considerate and show humility in all situations.

In a day in which the hearts of men have waxed cold,  as murder and heinous acts of violence flow consistently on our streets, there must be a presence of a gentle heart. As believers we are to demonstrate the wisdom of God, if we posses it, it will be seen in our behavior and our attitude. Wisdom is characterized by gentleness and is the opposite of self-promotion and arrogance. Gentleness can be described as power under control, Jesus was full of power but He says in Matthew 11:29 to take His yoke and to learn from Him, for He is gentle and humble in heart. As a person of faith what have you learned from the Lord, does your behavior and attitude reveal your gentleness? Are you free from malice, bitterness, or the desire for revenge? Trust and believe that our gentleness will define itself in the context of our relationships and how we mesh with others in community settings. Your behavior and attitude should characterize your relationship with God.

Today ask God to teach you how to be a person whose character can soothe others. The ability to walk in the Gentleness of Heart. I challenge you to learn how to speak to others in ways that woo them to win them for the Kingdom of God.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God
