What and Who do Others see in You?

"It is your own face that you see reflected in the water and it is your own self that you see in your heart." Proverbs 27:19 The Good News Translation

What and who do others see in you? The condition of our hearts will determine what we say, what we do, the places we will hang out at and the friends that we choose. Our lives are a reflection of what is in our hearts. Many people always determine a feeling as to what is in your heart. People say I really love God and He knows this because He knows my heart. But our behavior is in opposition to any love that we say we have for Him. The book of Jeremiah describes the heart that God knows of man. "Who can understand the human heart? There is nothing else so deceitful; it is too sick to be healed I, the LORD, search human minds and test human hearts. I treat each one according to the way he lives, according to what he does.” Jeremiah 17:9

The heart refers to the mind, the source of thinking, feeling, and action. It can betray a person in basic issues concerning the reality of God, His will, and His word. The heart can belie the truth. No one can comprehend its true character but God Himself, for only He can discern the motives and the reasoning behind it. God can know the heart, for only He may search and test the mind. This is a most powerful statement about the process of God’s discernment of the inner person. The Lord’s justice is evidenced in all His ways, giving people just recompense for all their ways and doings. God rewards or punishes according to faith, namely, trusting in Him and His name.

So what do others see? Does your thoughts and actions reflect who God is, or do they reflect what is truly in your heart. "What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean.’ For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’ Mark 7:20-23

Any time anyone approaches us about our relation with God and our thoughts and actions, our first defense mechanism is always this same comment. I know that's wrong, but God knows my heart. Your right He sure does! But now it is time for you to get a reflection of what your heart is truly like. Your heart is deceiving you, because what you think is not seen is what others see. By most of our actions people do not get to see our lives reflecting the God we say we serve. No way! Would God gossip, lie, and curse people out when He got mad. Would your clubbing and drinking, and smoking give a reflection of the character of God. It's time to get a stress test. A stress test determines the conditon of a person's heart, is it weak or strong, is clogged with all types of matter. What is the condition of your heart. Watch your behavior if you live for God, then truly live for Him, don't be deceived, what and who do others see we when they see you. Is it a reflection of God or it a reflection of the evil that lives in your heart.

Take a good look at your face, and what and who do you SEE!

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
