Move On!

"Now is the time for us to progress beyond the basic message of Christ and advance into perfection. "The foundation has already been laid for us to build upon: turning away from our dead works to embrace faith in God,......" "So with God's enablement we will move on to deeper truths." Hebrews 6:1-3

The body of Christ must now come to an understanding of expanding what we know about God. The elementary fundamentals we received in the start of this journey will not suffice the assignment. We must now move forward to maturity, completeness and more grown-up teaching.

Many of us started in Christ with a excellent beginning but as we were to grow spiritually we calcified, we became very hardened to the things of God by the things we experienced. Some of us continue to go up and down and end up back to the basics, year after year, after year, after year. We repeatedly slip back and end back up being taught the same things we were taught when we got saved.

Typically we yield gradually, we give up little by little, until we have fallen into our old life, then come to repentance again. The author is issuing a warning and a call to move on. It is a spiritual axiom that says, where there is life there is growth. Let us go on, we don't have time to keep going back to the past of our first come to Jesus moment. We have to progress beyond the basic message of (for "God So Loved the World" or "if thou believe with thou mouth and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ"), and advance spiritually that we may do the exploits that Christ declared we would do.

The foundation has already been laid for you to build upon, stop going back to doing things that are dead and will never work, those things that force you back to Christianity 101 every year! Now is the time to embrace your faith in God, willingly and enthusiastically.

Today I encourage and challenge you to move on. Every plan and way that worked for you in the past, let it go, there are other things in God to be discovered, about who He is and who you are in Him. Seek Him, trust Him, He will enable you to move on, "Deep calls to deep..."(Ps.42:7) It's time to soar and to grow in holiness and commitment. If your sliding hold tight, I got you and we will move on together!

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you
