LEAP OF FAITH

S.E.E.D. For Today_Leap

Scripture "With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them walking and leaping and praising God." Acts 3:8 NASB

Peter and John are on their way into the temple for the 3:00 prayer service, as they approach the Temple a man who had been lame since birth was being carried in. Everyday he sat by the gate of the Temple which was called the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg as the people entered the Temple. When he sees the Apostles about to enter the Temple he asked them for money. Peter looks upon the man and let's him know, I don't have money if that is what your expecting, silver and gold I have none, but I'll give you what I have. In the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene get up and walk. The man leaped and stood up, he did not go straight home but he went into the Temple still leaping and praising God.

Example To jump or spring into action, to rise, come up, taking leaps and bounds, propel yourself suddenly, a sudden transition or sudden move, sudden increase. As taking a leap of faith accepting and trusting in what you cannot see or prove.

Exercise Are you a risk taker? Are you in a lame situation or you feel like life has left you unable to go forward? I challenge you today to get up mentally and start leaping (literally) wherever you choose today, (at home, bathroom at work...etc) keep leaping and praising God as you do so, God's power will begin to come into your circumstance.

Devotion Lord today I leap until my miracle is tangible. I pray that as I seek you today by faith that I will not let fear, doubt, what's behind me, nor what's in front of me hinder this next move. Lord I pray for risk takers faith, the type of faith I need to just do it! This is your year Leap into purpose on purpose.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

UN-DO!

S.E.E.D. For Today: Scripture: "Undo The Heavy Burdens" ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Example: There was a great deal of injustice in the land and with the rich exploiting the poor and the rulers using their authority only to make themselves richer. It was a conflict between truth and lies, just like in our land today. The people of God were no different in operating under the same system as this. But God called them out and wanted them to understand that their fasting was in vain if they did not undo the heavy burden they placed on others while still outwardly devoting themselves to religion or as they thought to God. Exercise: Let's invite the Holy Spirit to solve problems and aid us in lifting loads and overcome barriers that keep us and our loved ones from walking joyfully in the Lord. In self-denying love and care for others, let's undo any heavy burden or untie any yoke that we may have placed upon friends, family, associates or even employees. Devotion: Lord toda...

Time Travelers

S.E.E.D. For Today_ Forward Scripture "I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead." Philippians 3:13 NLT The Apostle Paul lets us know that he will not contend with the past or present measures of grace, but he is contending to stretch himself to go forward. He realized that he had not mastered many areas of perfection in his life after his conversion. He did not rest on the power and prestige he had in his former life. He did not linger on the fact that he gave orders for many to be executed and imprisoned but now he himself was a prisoner of which he boldly denounced. Paul thinks forward, he forgets about his Jewish privileges and presses on the great race in which his goal is to win. We are time travelers that are moving forward. Paul says we press toward. Example In the direction that one is facing or traveling. Onward, being progressive, future. Exercise Read Philippians 3:12-14 Evaluate ...
