DON'T CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM

S.E.E.D. For Today_Enthusiasm

S-cripture "Be diligent and do not be lazy, be enthusiastic in spirit; be working for your Lord." Romans 12:11 ABPE

Christian diligence is diminishing throughout the body of Christ. No man will work long at a task that his heart is not in, and if so it could be out of obligation to ones faith or vocation. Paul's desire is for all Christians to have fervent diligence and enthusiasm in spirit for the work of the Lord. Paul admonishes Christians not to be idle but to occupy themselves with the business of God's Kingdom.

Example Have passion, zeal, with eagerness, excitement and enjoyment, with intensity and interest.

Exercise It's very easy to get idle for the industrious things of the Kingdom of God. We have been called to serve and advance the Will of the Lord. Circumstances can rob us of our passion, eagerness and enjoyment of serving Christ. Many have curbed their enthusiasm. Challenge yourself today to examine your walk, try to remember what happened that suppressed your enthusiasm, when you lost fervor and you started serving out of obligation. Make a fresh commitment to the will of the Lord reigniting your enthusiasm.

Devotion Lord today forgive me for the enthusiasm I lost along the way. Where have I curbed my enthusiasm, what has hindered me, my passion, my zeal, the excitement, the enjoyment for the work of the Lord? My prayer today is that I do not put restraints on my willingness to serve you, but with great enthusiasm in spirit I will be diligent in all things that please You.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
