"SET YOUR HEARTS"

S.E.E.D. For Today

Scripture: "John taught the truth about Him when He announced to the people, He's the One! Set your hearts on Him!......And now out of His fullness we are fulfilled! And from Him we receive grace heaped upon more grace!" John 1:16 (TPT Bible)

Explanation: John was a voice in the wilderness teaching and baptizing, preparing the way for the True Voice, the Living Expression, the Word in the flesh, Jesus. He declared that the law was given through Moses, but Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ. Before Jesus came many wondered if John the Baptist might be the Messiah, but John was a vessel used by God to point others to Jesus. He knows His place and the grace of his assignment.

Exercise:  In Colossians 3:1  Paul says "set your affections on things above, not on the things that are on earth. John was testifying to the Grace of God coming to us in the flesh, crying out, there is One coming that is greater than me, He's the One to set your hearts on, the One coming from above. John declared that Jesus had priority over himself and that who Jesus is, is relevant to who he was. Like John how do you see Jesus? Is He a priority over your life. He is the unearned, undeserved favor and truth of God. As a believer do you understand the limitless riches of His grace? It was all done for you. Today take some time and meditate and set your heart on this wonderful grace.

Devotion: We thank you Lord, "For out of His fullness the superabundance of His grace, we receive  [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor and gift heaped upon gift." (John 1:16 AMP) Your grace is You bestowing upon us one gift after another. Thank you for this overwhelming access to your presence, power and peace. In grace we return our gratitude. Our relationship with you is grace based, give us opportunities through your grace to redress the body of Christ that we will set our hearts and our focus on you. For out of Your fulness are we fulfilled, because Your Grace is the gift that keeps on giving. In Jesus Name Amen!

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
