Empty Your Heart

S.E.E.D. For Today

Scripture: "Turn to Me, says the Lord, with all your heart while there is time. Empty your hearts, not just your stomachs. Fast with weeping and mourning." Joel 2:12 ELT Version

Explanation: God is not impressed with the outward show of fasting, through the prophet Joel God, expressed Himself, letting the people know tearing your garments which was an outward show of grief did not impress Him and that He would rather the people tear their hard hearts and return to the God of their deliverance and salvation.

Exaltation: "Return to Me, Your Lord and God who knows if I give you mercy and a blessing instead of a curse? Perhaps I'll give you abundant blessings. Joel V.14...." Isaiah 30:18 says that the Lord longs to be gracious to us; He rises to show us compassion. For the Lord is a just God and will bless all those who wait for Him."....."No one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him." Isaiah 64:4

Devotion: God is seeking out worshipers those that worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23) Many churches Fast and Consecrate to start the new year God is not impressed by what we choose but the fast He chooses for us. Today as you give yourself to fasting and praying commit to emptying your heart and not just your stomach. We do this not to lose weight but to gain the weight of His Glory. In Jesus Name Amen

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
