Being Able to give up Today's desire's for Future Benefits

The Lord isn't slow to do what He promised, as some people think. Rather, He is patient for your sake. He doesn't want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to Him and change the way they think and act. 2 Peter 3:9 (God's Word Translation)

Where is the faith of the believer? Have we all gone mad and given in to the lies of the enemy. Today many believers are forfeiting too much of their time to believe in things that have no substance. We are risking our souls to indulge in mirages that we think are promises but are just temporary lures of the devil. He wants every believer to overwhelm themselves with what is pleasurable to the flesh, but forgetting the eternal consequences of disobeying God. Believer's today are deteriorating in sin, we have betrayed ourselves and we have become our own enemy. We can't help it when Satan and His demons tempt us, but when we tempt ourselves, then we tempt God by forcing Him to intervene and rescue us by daring Him to stop us.

It's scary to see how quickly we can get accustomed to bondage, but not enjoy the freedom that has been given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. How can we confess that we are Christians, but never live in the likeness of Him. For some it's nothing but a word! When gangs make their confession of who they are people know it's the truth because of the behavior that comes with the name they serve. If someone is a blood or crypt they will live up to the title even if it means death. Why can't we live up to the name we so boldly confess.

In the world promises are easily broken, but God is not like man He does not break promises! Samson was a man who was born with a special calling on his life, and given a godly heritage, but his desires ruined the benefits of his future. Like many of us today we continue in sin because we still have settle victories and we have learned to live accustomed to that. We go back again and again because we continue to get away with what we shouldn't do, believing there is more time for one more hayride in the land of funk (a name I have given sin). Why allow your desires to disqualify you from your great future! You were born to be a child of God with unbelievable promise, never let anyone convince you of anything different.

Decisions determine destiny, before we ruin it for good, take a long term perspective when making your next move, never make your decisions based on simply satisfying a short term need.We are a people who have been designed with desire in us, but we must make the right choices of where our desires take us, our desire should be to obey God. Why give up your future benefits to fulfill an illicit desire today.

God is not slow in doing what He has promised, He will return and if He has made a promise personally to you it shall come to pass, but God in His mercy is holding back for your sake, He wants His children to change. Too many of us are risking eternal life with Him because of today's wants that are not apart of His will for our lives. But I love the Lord for His mercy and His grace, He has held back judgment upon our lives that we would have the opportunity to change the way we think and the way we act.Don't blow it people of God, don't lose out on a great future for a measly thrill with no benefits!

Are you able to give up today's desire's for the benefits God has allotted to you? Don't lose your inheritance.

Bursting Out Of It!

S.E.E.D. For Today:  Scripture: "Is this not the the fast which I have chosen: Loosen the bonds of wickedness." ( Isaiah 58:6 ) Explanation: There should be the right motive when we fast. The people of God in Isaiah observed but there was no change in them. When fasting we do not want to look at it as a religious ritual, but a means to transformation. The fruit of repentance ought to be evident in relationship with one another and our neighbor. If we fast and persist in arrogance, stubbornness, fighting and strife then we are only doing this out of routine. Exercise: Prayer is important to experience the grace and power of God when fasting. Without the consistency of prayer we will not see breakthrough. God is challenging us to do the fast He has chosen, the first means of business is releasing or loosing the bonds of wickedness. Whatever besets itself and entangles you again under the same slave system of missing the mark with God has to let you go. I challenge you ...

THE SAFE PLACE

S.E.E.D. For Today___ Safety Scripture "God is our safe place and our strength. He is always our help when we are in trouble." Psalms 46:1 New Life Version In light of all that is going on in our world God is the most dependable person we know. Murder, and violence plague our city's and nothing seems to be safe anymore. When everything seems to be falling apart God is our safety, our refuge from the storms of life. He doesn't protect us in order to pamper us, He shelter's us so He can strengthen us to go back to life with it's duties and dangers. Trouble describes people who are in tight places in a corner and unable to get out, but we are not to be afraid. The earth may change and things will be in utter chaos, but in the Lord we have safety. Though everything around us and in us seems to be restless, God is in control. God is our safe place, in His will, in His hands He got the whole world, He formed it, shaped it, created it, and man co...

"Your Time Is Coming!"

"My Destiny and it's timing is in the hand of God." Psalms 16:5 Your way of life, your fortune, your fate, your portion comes from God. Knowing God is to know that He operates in rhythm, seasons, or times. Ecclesiastes 3 breaks down very intricately the seasons, or timing of a man's life or destiny. It tells us in vs.1 that, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season" ( CEV ) or " Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses." ( GNT ) Being in sync rhythmically with God is so vital to the believer, operating in boundaries of our destiny or fortune, is the ability to flow in purpose. God has a purpose for each of us, you will find it to be your greatest joy as you discover the privilege of understanding the intention of God for your life. There are times as believers we find it difficult to accept what God has given us. There will be times when your ideas of what you want may get in the way of you and God...
